About Our Team
We are currently recruiting for a Library Assistant 2 to join our team at the District of North Vancouver. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing excellent customer service and working in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with checking library materials in and out, registering patrons, collecting fees, and resolving patron complaints
- Perform a variety of tasks as part of the Circulation team, including reconciling monies received and providing excellent service to the public
- Assist with daily cash reconciliation and bank deposits, and perform opening and closing procedures
- Address problems with multi-function devices, and behavioural issues that arise in the public space

Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a public library or similar environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common office equipment
