Job Title: Academic Child Psychiatrist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Academic Child Psychiatrist to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of child and adolescent psychiatry in Kamloops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and treatments for patients up to 18 years old
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, pediatricians, and social workers
  • Refine programs, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Mentor peers, medical undergraduates, postgraduate Family Practice residents, and participants in the UBC–Okanagan Psychiatry program
  • Lead as the Most Responsible Physician for patients during their hospital stays

Requirements:

  • Mid-Senior level experience in child and adolescent psychiatry
  • Part-time employment opportunity available
  • Active staff privileges at Royal Inland Hospital
