At Ontario Corp, we are seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their tasks.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Authorize payments by cheque and maintain accurate financial records.
- Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure efficient store operations.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff to help them improve their performance.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Physical ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
