About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Support Professional to join our team at BSC Enterprises Inc.

Job Summary

This is a permanent full-time position that involves providing exceptional support to patients in a fast-paced hospital/medical facility or clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities, promoting a positive and engaging experience.
  • Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accurate vital sign measurements.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients safely and efficiently, prioritizing their comfort and well-being.
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, maintaining effective communication channels.
  • Maintain patients' rooms by making beds and ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas as prescribed, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, optimizing stock levels and reducing waste.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients with dignity and respect, promoting independence and self-esteem.
  • Transport patients between care facilities, using wheelchairs or stretchers as needed, ensuring safe and comfortable transfers.
  • Answer call signals promptly, assessing patients' needs and responding accordingly.
  • Collect specimens for testing, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Provide first aid in emergency situations, applying knowledge and skills to stabilize patients.

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, with repetitive tasks and physically demanding responsibilities. The ideal candidate must possess manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colors, sound discrimination, and standing for extended periods.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
