Job Title: Addictions Specialist - Recovery Coordinator

Location: Regina, Saskatchewan

Salary: $29.584 to $36.176 per hour (Pay Band Addictions Counsellor - Diploma)

About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Addictions Specialist - Recovery Coordinator to join our team at Health Careers in Sask. As a key member of our Adult services team, you will be responsible for restoring, maintaining, and enhancing the recovery of individuals seeking help for addiction and/or addiction-related issues.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of addiction best practices and be able to implement evidence-based recovery programs to improve client outcomes. You will work closely with clients to develop personalized recovery plans and provide support through various forms of therapy, including Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Chemical Dependency studies or BSW and/or another Baccalaureate discipline (generally social sciences or human services) acceptable to the employer
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge in addiction(s) and their effects on the individual
  • Knowledge of screening and addiction assessment tools and procedures
  • Ability to deliver workshops and lecture material to clients
  • Efficient computer skills
