Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at EMCO Corporation. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our customers via telephone, email, and in-person at our Profit Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide sales support to customers, answering inquiries and generating sales leads to increase profit sharing.
  • Assist customers with purchases at the counter, answer phone calls and emails, and enter, pick, and pack sales orders.
  • Manage orders, including sourcing products and following up on backorders, and research products for customers to provide recommendations.
  • Provide pricing, quotes, and stock checks to customers, and drive sales growth through counter merchandising, product promotion, and networking with customers.
  • Ensure inventory reflects customer needs and wants, communicate low stock levels, and process returns and warranty claims in compliance with procedures.
  • Perform warehouse duties, including unloading freight trucks, receiving and putting away inventory, and replenishing small bin picks.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and counter area.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college and/or university degree an asset.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or counter sales.
  • Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software to communicate via email, analyze customer data, and update customer contact files.
  • Ability to learn and operate applicable software systems to process orders.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.
  • Intermediate math skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn how to operate material handling equipment, including lift trucks.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and high standard of integrity.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting.
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing products sold at the Profit Center.
  • Ability to use the Internet as a resource to problem solve and find alternative solutions for customers.
  • Experience using M3, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
