We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Clerk to join our team at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, B.C. This is a part-time relief position working Days/Evenings: 17:00 to 23:00, 11:00 to 19:00, 10:00 to 18:00, 15:00 to 23:00 Rotating.

This role provides a variety of clerical duties related to the work of the Diagnostic Imaging department, including:

  • Providing excellent patient registration services;
  • Scheduling and communicating appointment information with Diagnostic Imaging staff, patients, physicians' offices, and nursing units;
  • Ensuring pertinent previous images and documentation are available for patient exams and forwarding images to other facilities outside the Health Authority;
  • Organizing and arranging pediatric and adult sedation, catheterization exams, ambulance bookings;
  • Performing reception duties such as answering telephones, receiving and relaying messages, and distributing mail;
  • Completing standard forms for registration/billing purposes;
  • Typing various documents including memorandums, letters, minutes, education documents, presentations, and statistical tables;
  • Arranging meetings by booking meeting rooms, typing agendas, transcribing minutes and notes of meetings, and disseminating information.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong communication and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

The ideal candidate will have two years of recent experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A current administered 5-minute typing certificate of 45wpm completed within the last 48 months from an approved institution is also required.

Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $55,000 to $65,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
