Unit Secretary

North York General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Unit Secretary to join our Reactivation Care Centre team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide administrative support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of our unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff
- Coordinate interdepartmental activities and requests
- Represent physicians and healthcare professionals by screening and triaging incoming calls and inquiries
- Compile and disseminate material/documents related to program activity
- Process computer provider order entries and maintain accurate records
- Support clinicians with system order entry functions and maintain organization of admissions and discharges
- Grade XII diploma
- Medical Office Assistant certificate from a College of Applied Arts and Technology
- Minimum 1 year medical inpatient hospital experience and experience working with a geriatric population within the last 2 years
- Experience inputting payroll, timesheets, and staff schedules
- Accurate minimum typing speed of 45 w.p.m
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset
