We invite applications from qualified individuals for a Clinical Child Psychologist position at BC Children's Hospital. This role will be based in Vancouver, BC.
**Job Summary**
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to children and youth with mental health needs. The individual will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct thorough psychological assessments, including cognitive, educational, and social/emotional evaluations.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Collaborate with family members, caregivers, and other healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient progress and outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current on best practices and research in child clinical psychology.
**Requirements**
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Child Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (COPBC) or eligibility for registration.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with children and youth in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations and age groups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and creatively.
