Housekeeping Operations Manager

A key member of our housekeeping team, the Housekeeping Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests at Ash Grove Inn.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Supervision: Plan and coordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews, supervise staff, and ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met.
- Maintenance and Repair: Supervise maintenance and repair services, co-ordinate maintenance and repair services, and ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out.
- Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals, maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms, and schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff.
- Guest Services: Respond to complaints of guests and ensure that their needs are met.
- Dependability: We are looking for someone who is reliable and dependable.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for this role.
- Flexibility: The ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities is crucial.
- Team Player: A team player who can work collaboratively with others is essential.
- Credential Recognition: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Cultural Competency Training: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Work Environment: This is a permanent, full-time position with 40 hours of work per week.
Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
