We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our pioneering team at BigGeo Inc., driving the future of geospatial intelligence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and implement high-performance backend systems, optimizing code for performance and resource utilization.

About You

To succeed in this challenging position, you'll need a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Your proficiency in modern statically compiled languages, such as Rust, will be valuable assets. Additionally, you should possess expertise in writing efficient, reliable, and secure code, with a strong understanding of immutability principles and their application.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement Efficient Backend Systems: You'll create scalable data architectures, optimize code for performance, and develop observable, instrumented code that enables effective system monitoring.
  • Optimize Code for Performance and Resource Utilization: With your deep understanding of computer architecture, you'll ensure efficient utilization of available resources, minimizing I/O operations and maximizing algorithmic efficiency.
  • Contribute to Architectural Decisions: As part of our dynamic team, you'll collaborate on architectural decisions for distributed systems and big-data processing, ensuring seamless integration and effective use within product pipelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: Or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation Package
