Mental Health Support Specialist

Cypress Hills Ability Centres, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team.
As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to clients in need of mental health services.
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting individuals with mental health challenges and has excellent communication skills.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparing reports and case histories
- Administrative and office activities
- Performing administrative tasks
- Implementing life skills workshops
- Assessing client's relevant skill strengths and development needs
- Resolving conflict situations
- Implementing behaviour management programs
- Maintaining program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research
- Assisting in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs
- Screening, recruiting, and training volunteers and support staff
- Accompanying clients to appointments and social outings
- Managing events
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A college diploma or equivalent in a related field
- 1-2 years of experience working in a mental health setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office
