About this Role:

The Grocery Department Supervisor is a key member of our team, responsible for leading the direction of our Grocery Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safe and effective operation of the Grocery Department, including scheduling, ordering, and maintaining brand standards.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, including performance management, talent development, and engagement.
  • Provide exceptional member service and maintain a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment, adhering to our Health and Safety Program and Food Safety standards.
  • Accomplish financial objectives through forecasting, budgeting, and controlling expenditures.
  • Develop and implement strategic goals, gathering pertinent business information and evaluating trends and options.
  • Pursue continual learning and professional development through workshops and educational opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Food Safe Certification
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the retail food industry
  • Self-motivated, reliable, responsible, friendly, and hardworking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skills in performance management, coaching, supervision, quality management, and results achievement
  • Ability to handle pressure and provide feedback to employees
  • Commitment to cooperative values and principles
  • Sense of urgency and customer-first attitude
