About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Evaluation and Performance Analyst to join our Healthcare System Sustainability (HCSS) Unit.

The HCSS Unit consists of a team of professionals responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating financial process improvement projects, business reviews, fiscal policy initiatives, and other special projects aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of program and service delivery within health and social services programs and services.

Located in Yellowknife, you will report to the Director of System Improvement and Fiscal Reform and support the government's priority to improve health and social services access by ensuring fiscal sustainability and efficiency in the system.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of healthcare initiatives;
  2. Analyze data to inform policy decisions and drive organizational improvements;
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans;
  4. Provide mentorship and support to junior analysts;

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in the social sciences, political science, public administration, or a relevant field of study with a focus on research methods and/or program evaluation;
  • At least 3 years of progressive work experience in research and analysis; program design; and/or program evaluation;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders;
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and briefings;

Educational requirements would typically be attained through:

  • A designation as a Credentialed Evaluator (CE) from the Canadian Evaluation Society;
  • A bachelor's degree in the social sciences, political science, public administration, or a relevant field of study with a focus on research methods and/or program evaluation;

Salary: The salary for this position is estimated to be around $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This estimate is based on national averages for similar positions in the Northwest Territories.
