Job Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator provides critical support to the Main Operating Base by ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts receiving, issuing, shipping, and non-technical inspection of all materials to ensure safe storage.
  • Trained, qualified, and authorized to conduct Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
  • Carries out waste product disposal for POL and other items.
  • Conducts stocktaking and completes stocktaking evaluation.
  • Conducts local purchasing and sub-contracting with approved vendors.
  • Prepares material transaction vouchers and other logistics documentation.
  • Actions approved amendments to publications, filing, record keeping, and detailed register entries.
  • Completes aircraft maintenance documentation for the electronic record-keeping system (ERKS).
  • Flys as necessary in support of maintenance, ferry, and deployed operations.
  • Deploys and works at other main operating bases and/or deploys in support of operations at remote sites, mobile repair parties, and ferry flights.
  • Works shift work, as required and/or assigned.
  • Provides on-job-training to other employees, including task supervision.
  • Attends training for trade and professional development and for qualification/certification purposes.
  • Removes all debris accumulated by tasks performed and maintains a clean, safe work area.
  • Ensures hangar, shop, stores, and office areas are clean and swept.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures, and directives established by the Company.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of material control and warehousing operations, Stores operations, shelf life, stock taking, shipping, and receiving, HazMat, POL disposal, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
  • Ability to use standard computer systems and specialized computer systems applicable to the Stores operation.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) procedures, as it pertains to Stores.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems.
  • Ability to use standard computer programs and such specialized ones as may be necessary in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles and tow tractors.
  • Minimum education level of grade 12 or equivalent and related training and experience in material control warehousing.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in material control and warehousing operations is required.
