Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter Specialist to join our team at Startec Compression & Process. As a key member of our assembly team, you will play a vital role in mounting major equipment and assembling piping systems according to technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and installation of piping systems.
  • Install and support major equipment, including spooling and skid layout for small-bore piping.
  • Fabricate and install piping systems, including socket and screwed small-bore pipe.
  • Participate in safety programs and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Liaise with shipping and receiving teams to ensure smooth logistics.

Requirements:

  • Journeyman Pipefitter certification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a pipefitter, demonstrating proficiency in pipe installation and fabrication techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing and piping systems, materials, and building codes.
  • Familiarity with various pipe materials, such as steel, copper, plastic, and PVC.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex piping issues.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
