Geotechnical Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Thurber Engineering Ltd.
About the RoleAs a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and stability of our projects. Your expertise in geotechnical engineering will help us deliver high-quality services to our clients.
Responsibilities- Lead surface and subsurface site investigations, including borehole logging, soil and rock sampling, and geological mapping;
- Conduct field inspections of construction works and material testing of geotechnical materials;
- Develop proposals and technical reports for our clients;
- Analyze geotechnical engineering data to provide recommendations for project planning and execution;
- Supervise junior engineers and technicians to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion of projects;
- Manage project schedules and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
- Possess a post-graduate degree in Geo-Engineering discipline such as Geotechnical Engineering, Geo-Environmental Engineering, or Engineering Geology;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering in Canada;
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and leadership abilities;
- Familiarity with current geotechnical software applications and tools;
- Exceptional project management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience;
