The Cellular Sales Representative is responsible for leading the retail sales of goods and services offered at BearCom. This individual identifies new markets and business opportunities while maximizing profitability and growth in cellular and GPS/AVL equipment sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements advertising and marketing plans to drive sales growth
  • Provides coaching and support to Retail Sales Representatives to improve performance and sales skills
  • Assists in merchandizing efforts by displaying and demonstrating products and accessories effectively
  • Reviews sales performance and provides timely feedback to the Sales Manager
  • Assists in the preparation of quotes and presentations for customers
  • Conducts regular coaching and counseling with Retail Sales Representatives to build motivation and selling skills
  • Maintains and develops relationships with existing customers through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and emails
  • Negotiates agreements and closes sales with customers
  • Gathers market and customer information to stay competitive
  • Represents BearCom at trade shows, events, and demonstrations
  • Negotiates variations in price, delivery, and specifications with managers
  • Builds and maintains the BearCom price list
  • Advises customers and other staff on forthcoming product developments and special promotions
  • Ensures the showroom floor is stocked with the necessary products and accessories
  • Provides excellent customer service by acknowledging customers in the waiting area and answering phone calls promptly
  • Investigates and resolves customer concerns related to phone operation and features
  • Assesses and resolves customer requests to return or exchange products purchased at BearCom
  • Liaises with the purchasing department to check on the progress of existing orders
  • Records sales and order information using both online and manual processes
  • Audits sales incentive programs to verify numbers recorded reflect actual sales receipts
  • Completes training and development programs to stay up-to-date on new features and products
  • Gains a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements
  • Conducts rate plan optimizations with customers to ensure their plan offers the best value for their calling patterns
  • Makes accurate and timely cost calculations and provides customers with quotations
  • Researches new developments in communications technology to inform future buying trends
  • Maintains a clean and orderly workplace and showroom
  • Participates in monthly sales meetings
  • Performs other duties as delegated by the Retail Sales Manager

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of cellular sales experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a results-driven sales team
  • Ability to analyze customers' needs and offer effective solutions
  • Ability to work successfully in a competitive sales environment
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks effectively
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, and detail-oriented
  • Professional, helpful, and courteous
  • Organized and able to prioritize work assignments
