Communications Specialist for Union Advocacy

The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) is seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join their team in Ottawa, Canada. This exciting opportunity allows you to work with a dynamic union that advocates for the rights and interests of its members.
The successful candidate will have a post-secondary diploma in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field, with a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role. They will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to assess and analyze information to develop effective communication strategies.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including group health and dental insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and employee and family assistance programs, the PSAC also offers a defined benefit pension plan and generous vacation time.
As a Communications Specialist at the PSAC, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including developing and implementing communication plans, creating engaging content for social media and other channels, and providing support to the Communications Officer.
