Family Medicine Anesthesiology Specialist

About the Role
The SaskDocs organization is seeking a skilled Family Medicine Anesthetist to join their team in Weyburn, SK. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive anesthesia services, including clinic shifts, outpatient care, inpatient care, emergency services, and long-term care. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to teach residents and medical students as part of clinical placements and rotations.
Compensation Package
The successful candidate can expect an annual salary range of $300,000 to $400,000, depending on experience. In addition to this competitive salary, the candidate may be eligible for a relocation package that includes up to $200,000 over five years through the Physician Recruitment Program. They may also receive financial rewards for practicing in rural and remote communities in Saskatchewan through the Community Physician Incentive Program.
Requirements
- Certified or eligible to be certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Acceptable enhanced training in anesthesia (i.e., 3rd year residency in Family Physician Anesthesia)
- Regular or Provisional License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) (or eligible to be licensed)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Recommended: Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
