Truck Driver Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at AAA Provincial Moving LTD. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This is a permanent position requiring 30 to 40 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
Perform brake adjustments, perform emergency roadside repairs, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.
Requirements:
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
English is the primary language of communication in the workplace.
Working Conditions:
The Truck Driver will be required to work on the road, often for extended periods. The work environment can be physically demanding and requires the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
