Job Title: Inside Sales Specialist

Job Summary: As an Inside Sales Specialist at ABB, you will be responsible for sorting, evaluating, and qualifying sales leads from various campaigns, events, and website interactions. You will work closely with the application engineering team to determine early feasibility of applications and gather background information to help qualify opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with customers.
  • Using available tools and through direct virtual interaction with prospects, sort, evaluate, and qualify incoming sales leads.
  • Supported by the application engineering team, determine early feasibility of application, and gather background to help qualify the opportunity.
  • Enter all leads in the company CRM, determine qualified leads nurturing path based on application, comments, and all relevant qualifying comments in CRM.
  • Identify warm leads for automatic lead nurturing and set follow-up meetings in the company CRM to arrive at sales qualified lead.
  • Under the supervision of the sales manager, and in collaboration with the channel manager, assign Sales Qualified leads through the CRM to the appropriate Value Provider partner and/or local account manager.
  • Under the supervision of the sales manager, and in collaboration with the marcom team, conduct targeted lead generating activities, including calling on accounts in specific geographies, industry segments, or customer type.
  • Occasionally provide product quoting support using ABB quoting platform.

Qualifications:

  • Work with Technical Proposal Managers, Application Engineers, and Customers to provide larger project quotations.
  • Support closing orders and achieve quarterly quotas.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest.
  • Prospect for new accounts across Canada.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships. Learn and evaluate customer operations to aid in identifying customer objectives, requirements, and preferences.
  • Process product & service quotations and drive continuous follow-up throughout the completion of the customer's purchasing cycle.
  • Gather and report to management information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, products, and current and future market trends. Assist management and vendors in planning, tracking, and implementing sales strategies and developing new markets.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • College or University degree.
  • 2 years experience in sales or customer support.
