We are seeking an experienced Hairstylist Expert to join our team at The G.O.A.T. Barbers.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position requiring 1-2 years of experience in hairstyling.
  • You will be working in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to advise clients on beauty care treatments, analyze hair and scalp condition, and provide custom hair and scalp treatment.
  • You will also be responsible for cutting and trimming hair according to client's instructions or preferences, shampooing customers' hair, shaving and trimming beards and mustaches, and providing other hair treatment such as waving, straightening, and tinting.
  • In addition, you will supervise other hair stylists and staff, supervise apprentices/students in training, apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair, cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair.
  • You will also be responsible for suggesting hair styles compatible with client's physical features and preferences, perform receptionist duties, maintain and order supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on beauty care treatments

  • Provide custom hair and scalp treatment
  • Shampoo customers' hair
  • Shave and trim beards and mustaches
  • Provide other hair treatment such as waving, straightening, and tinting

  • Supervise apprentices/students in training
  • Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
  • Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair
  • Suggest hair styles compatible with client's physical features and preferences
  • Perform receptionist duties
  • Maintain and order supplies

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in hairstyling
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Reliable and a team player

Work Environment:

  • The G.O.A.T. Barbers is a busy barbershop/salon
  • Work setting: barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio
  • Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience
