Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Toronto, reporting to the Human Resources Director. As a trusted business partner to operational leadership, you will be responsible for executing the organization's HR strategy, key projects, and initiatives, including employee engagement, performance management, and recruitment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement human resources programs and provide HR services within our Toronto operations, exploring opportunities to add value and ensure compliance with employment standards.
  • Own special projects from end-to-end, setting and meeting deliverables and timelines.
  • Build relationships with employees and managers, fostering an open door policy and approachable manner, and providing guidance and expertise on interpreting and implementing human resources processes, programs, and policies aligned with corporate goals and employment legislation.
  • Manage employee issues, investigating and resolving complaints, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and counseling management where appropriate.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, working as a People Operations/HR Generalist or HRBP, ideally in a manufacturing environment that includes operations, production, and distribution.
  • Extensive employee relations experience, with a track record of providing HR advice and solutions to leaders and individuals on employee and organizational issues.
  • Expertise in operations, employee engagement, performance management, change management, career development, compensation, employment law, and other compliance matters.
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities, with outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, and the ability to influence decisions and implement processes.
  • Evidence-based decision-making abilities, with the ability to research and analyze data, leverage available resources, and present solutions.
