Job Title: Insulation Specialist

Job Summary:
Maple Contractors Ltd. is seeking an experienced Insulation Specialist to join our team. As an Insulation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining thermal insulation in various buildings.

Responsibilities:

* Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications to determine work requirements
* Select and apply the appropriate type of insulation required
* Measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools
* Apply and secure insulation using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation methods
* Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs
* Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials
* Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials
* Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers
* Estimate costs and materials
* Operate CADD and other computer software systems
* Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment
* Remove asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead, and mould and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings

* Insulator Trade Certification
* Insulator Red Seal Certificate
* Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
* First Aid Certificate
* CPR Certificate
* Driver's License
* CADD Course
* Propane in Construction Record of Training
* Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
* Insulator (heat and frost) Trade Certification
* Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
* Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
* Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate

Work Environment:

* On-site work in various construction settings
* Physically demanding work requiring standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling
* Manual dexterity required for handling tools and materials

Requirements:

* 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in insulation installation and maintenance
* College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
* Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
