Job Overview

This role is part of our Enterprise Data Office and involves developing robust data initiatives across the organization. The successful candidate will focus on enhancing our data governance capabilities by conducting regular engagement sessions with stakeholders, identifying and addressing data needs, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.



Responsibilities

  • Develop Data Strategies: Assist in creating data strategies that align with business values and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders to conduct high-level assessments, develop data roadmaps, and gather feedback.
  • Data Roadmaps: Facilitate the development of data roadmaps, including funded initiatives and business cases.
  • Communication Materials: Create communication materials to inform CMHC staff about data initiatives, objectives, and required support.
  • Data Value Framework: Provide guidance on using the data value framework in assessing initiatives and setting KPIs and targets.


Requirements

  • Education: An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or another related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience executing data governance strategies within organizations.
  • Skills and Qualifications: A good understanding of data life cycle, data value chain, governance frameworks, and information management protocols.
  • Presentation Skills: A demonstrated ability to present complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Strategic Thinking: A proven ability to think strategically and develop strategic plans and initiatives.
