About the Role

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Technical Coach to join our team. As a DevOps Technical Coach, you will play a key role in helping our clients achieve their digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Upskilling and Adoption: Help teams adopt DevOps best practices and upskill their members to ensure they have the necessary skills to succeed in a DevOps environment.
  • Golden CI/CD Template Onboarding: Assist development teams in onboarding to the Golden CI/CD Template, ensuring seamless integration and automation.
  • Pipeline Customization: Collaborate with the program team to enhance and customize the Golden Pipeline based on team requirements, ensuring it meets their specific needs.
  • DevOps Delivery Coaching: Provide coaching to teams on all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle framework, with a strong focus on TDD, BDD, and shifting left security compliance and removing technical debt.
  • Team and Product Ownership Coaching: Coach teams and product owners on product-centricity and DevOps/Agile fundamental practices, ensuring they have the necessary skills to succeed.
  • Impediment Removal: Observe teams to understand and remove impediments that hinder their effectiveness as a DevOps/Agile team.
  • Automation Opportunities: Work closely with teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Training Material Creation: Create training materials relative to specific DevOps training needs, ensuring teams have the necessary knowledge to succeed.
  • Enterprise Transformation: Participate in enterprise DevOps transformation team efforts, contributing to the development of strategies and solutions.
Requirements
  • DevOps Experience: 8+ years of experience working within a DevOps environment, with expertise in infrastructure-as-code and understanding of software/application development.
  • Cloud Platforms: 8+ years of expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/OpenStack).
  • Configuration Management: Experience with configuration management and infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform).
  • Docker and Container Orchestration: Experience with Docker containers and container orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift, etc.).
  • Leadership and Communication: Experience mentoring, coaching, and/or leading a team, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • DevOps Philosophy and Agile Methods: Deep understanding of the DevOps philosophy and Agile methods.
  • Automation and Problem-Solving: Ability to automate traditional processes with scripting or configuration management, and diagnose technical problems, debug code, and coach on how to automate routine tasks.
  • Software Delivery Lifecycle: Experience of the full software delivery lifecycle and deep knowledge of software engineering work, DevOps, TDD, CI/CD.
  • Transformation and Process Improvement: Strong experience leading large projects, transformation efforts, process improvements, product implementations, systems development, and integration efforts.
Compensation and Benefits

Insight Global offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $130K - $160K per year, plus full benefits packages. Benefit packages will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, and AD&D. Employees will also have access to a registered retirement savings account with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
