About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Companion in our York service region. As a Companion, you will provide companionship and support to our clients, helping them with daily tasks and activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and support to clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and hobbies.
  • Assist clients with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal care.
  • Provide respite care for clients, giving their primary caregivers a break and allowing them to rest and recharge.
  • Travel within the assigned region to visit clients at their homes or in facilities.

Requirements

  • Compassionate and caring individual with a passion for helping others.
  • Ability to interact with clients in a respectful and courteous manner.
  • Ability to speak other languages is considered an asset (Cantonese and Tamil).
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check and TB Test (within 6 months) as a condition of employment.
