St. Jean's cannery Ltd. is seeking a skilled Fish Processor to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the highest quality of fish products.
Job DescriptionThis position involves cutting, cleaning, and trimming fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing. You will also be responsible for checking products and packaging for defects, performing corrective machine adjustments as needed, and recording production information.
Key Responsibilities- Cut, clean, and trim fish or seafood using knife and machinery
- Scrape away scales, cut fish, separate fillets, and remove scrap parts
- Check products and packaging for defects and perform corrective machine adjustments
- Record production information and ensure accurate documentation
- Operate machines to can, bag, box, or otherwise package fish and seafood products
You will work with various equipment and machinery, including:
- Fish canning and cooking machine
- Fish cleaning and cutting machine
- Fish meal processing machine
- Fish products machine
- Fish smoker and dehydrator
- Roe processing machines
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical demands. You must be comfortable working in a wet/damp environment and able to handle heavy loads.

BenefitsThis permanent full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary between $50,000 and $65,000 per year, depending on experience, and 32-40 hours of work per week.
