Job Title: Strategic Public Relations and Marketing Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Public Relations and Marketing Director to join our team at the Government of Canada - Central.

About the Job:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our public relations and marketing efforts, leveraging your expertise to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, media, and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive public relations and marketing strategies to achieve business objectives;
  • Manage and coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals;
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of public relations and marketing initiatives;
  • Represent the organization in negotiations, official functions, and other high-profile events;
  • Select and develop middle managers, directors, and other executive staff to drive business success;

What You'll Need:

  • A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a government or public sector environment;
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing public relations and marketing strategies;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on results-driven decision making;

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent travel may be required for meetings, events, and other official functions;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision;
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment;

Salary Range:

The estimated salary for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
