About the Role

Kap Paper Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to enhance the site's Human Resources function. This role involves advisory responsibilities, influential leadership, and expertise in diverse HR areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advisory Services: Provide strategic HR guidance to management and employees to achieve business objectives.
  • Employee Experience: Develop and implement programs to enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall well-being.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems to ensure employees are meeting business objectives.
  • Labour Relations: Manage labour relations, including collective bargaining, grievances, and labour disputes.
  • Organizational Development: Analyze business needs and develop strategies to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage benefits programs, including health and wellness, retirement, and other employee benefits.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in an industrial unionized environment.
  • Skills: Business acumen, sound judgment, strong analytical skills, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and best practices in HR.
  • Language: Bilingual: English and French (spoken and written).
