We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Business Development Representative to join our team at GFL Environmental. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within the City of Edmonton and surrounding area.

As a key member of our sales team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop strategic marketing plans and ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) are met. You will also be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and staying up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain good customer relations with existing and prospective customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeding their expectations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of solid waste products and pricing structures to effectively upsell and cross-sell to clients.
  • Work collaboratively with sales and marketing teams to develop targeted marketing campaigns and achieve revenue goals.
  • Prepare and deliver customized sales presentations, quotes, and contracts to potential clients.
  • Stay organized and focused on meeting sales targets, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other team members to share best practices, discuss challenges, and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • 1-3+ years of experience in direct business-to-business sales and new business development.
  • Proven track record of success in attracting, cultivating, and growing accounts.
  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field is an asset.
  • Strong self-motivation, work ethic, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clean professional image and sense of pride that promotes a positive team spirit.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient use of CRM tools and customer database systems.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus opportunities for advancement and professional growth.
