This role offers a rewarding career path with opportunities for growth and development. We are seeking a skilled Addictions Counsellor to join our Substance Treatment, Recovery, and Empowerment for Addiction Management (STREAM) Program.

The successful candidate will provide individual and group counselling, education, and support to clients with concurrent disorders and dual diagnosis. They will also work closely with families supporting loved ones moving through the withdrawal process.

Key qualifications include:

  • Degree or diploma in a related field, plus 2+ years of experience in a community-based organization
  • Registration with a regulatory College, such as the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
  • Certification in addiction counselling is an asset
  • Lived experience related to substance use and/or mental health is an asset

A competitive salary range is available: $54,800-$58,700 per annum, commensurate with experience. This position requires a valid Canadian driver's license and a minimum $1,000,000 third-party liability insurance.
