Job Title: Diagnostic Clerk

At Shared Health, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Diagnostic Clerk to join our team. As a Diagnostic Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Diagnostic Services Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including patient information and diagnostic results.
  • Operate office equipment, including computers, fax machines, and copiers, to support the department's administrative functions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic procedures to effectively communicate with clients and healthcare teams.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Recent experience in a hospital or medical clinic setting, preferably with direct public contact and diagnostic service information.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows-based programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and respect culturally diverse populations.
