Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chef to lead our culinary team at Spice 8 Srilankan Fusion Cuisine. As an essential member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing all food preparation and presentation, ensuring that every dish meets the highest standards of quality and taste.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role and possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide our team of cooks to deliver exceptional results. They will also have a solid understanding of menu planning, inventory management, and cost control, as well as strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and other stakeholders.

A key aspect of this position is to work closely with our events team to plan and execute catering services for special occasions, such as weddings and banquets. This requires a high level of creativity and attention to detail to ensure that every event is memorable and exceeds customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chef Management: Supervise and train our team of cooks to maintain the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with our events team to develop menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
  • Inventories and Cost Control: Manage inventory levels, estimate costs, and optimize our supply chain to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Client Communication: Build relationships with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring that every event exceeds their expectations.
