Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Homewood Health Inc.

About the Role

This is a leadership role that requires exceptional counseling skills, experience working with diverse populations, and a strong understanding of mental health issues. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide short-term, solution-focused counseling to individuals, couples, families, and children dealing with depression, anxiety, interpersonal skills, workplace challenges, relationship issues, stress management, and addictions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide solution-oriented counseling services to clients in need of support
  • Assess client needs and develop effective treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Conduct individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of client progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's Degree in a related field or a Bachelor of Social Work degree with registration and counseling experience
  • Registration/clinical membership with a regulatory college or body in your province of practice
  • At least 3 years of experience in counseling, social services, or addiction service settings
  • Experience working in the Employee Assistance Program (EFAP) field is an asset
  • Professional liability insurance coverage of $2,000,000
  • Proficiency in English or French, with additional languages being a strong asset
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
