Medical Physicist Role in CancerCare Manitoba

CancerCare Manitoba is seeking a skilled Medical Physicist to join our team at the MacCharles location in Winnipeg, MB. As a key member of our Department of Medical Physics, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of clinical programs and implement new initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical and technical support for the radiation oncology program.
- Gain a broad range of clinical experiences within the Department of Medical Physics to implement new clinical programs.
- Depending on your expertise, support, mentor, and supervise students in the University of Manitoba's CAMPEP-accredited medical physics graduate or clinical residency program.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $63.78 - $100.24 per hour plus MCCPM premium, making it an attractive opportunity for professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in their career.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in medical physics, including experience with linacs, CT-simulators, treatment planning systems, HDR brachytherapy, and MRI. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills are also essential.
We are actively growing our research program, and a strong research track record and interest in pursuing research in a collaborative environment are assets. Additionally, a willingness to work evenings or weekends as required is necessary.
