About the Role: CAAT Pension Plan is seeking a highly skilled Business Continuity Strategist to join our Aligned Assurance team.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in Business Continuity Management (BCM) to lead the development of our Crisis Management Plan, including Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis Communications strategies. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing business continuity plans from the ground up, preferably within a financial or pension-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of relevant BCM guidelines (ISO 22301) and be able to identify risks, develop and recommend tracking measures, and cost-effective risk mitigation plans. They will also have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to facilitate risk workshops and lead cross-functional teams during crisis situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of a Crisis Management Plan that includes Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis Communications strategies">
  • Maintain the Threat and Risk Assessment, Business Impact Assessments (BIA), Risk and Mitigating Assessments (RAMA), and Business Continuity Plans">
  • Facilitate exercises and tests, such as Crisis Communication, Emergency Notification, Technical Recovery, and Emergency Management">
  • Train first-line members on how to complete BCM activities">
  • Develop, exercise, test, and update Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) in accordance with industry guidelines and best practices">
  • Conduct business impact analyses (BIA) and risk assessments on a scheduled basis to ensure BCPs are comprehensive and up-to-date">
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, BCM regulatory requirements, and best practices to continuously improve CAAT's continuity strategies">
  • Act as the key contact/incident commander for business continuity during incidents, ensuring efficient coordination of recovery activities">
  • Report regularly on the status of BCM activities, including preparedness levels and test results, to senior leadership and relevant committees">
