Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving and sorting incoming supplies, and ensuring parts information is cataloged in the system. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory records, including receiving, storing, and issuing supplies
  • Conduct regular physical inventories to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
  • Verify inventory records and correct any errors or discrepancies
  • Receive and sort incoming supplies, ensuring they are properly labeled and stored
  • Issue and distribute parts to maintenance personnel as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized storeroom, adhering to quality standards and good housekeeping protocols
  • Prepare parts kitting racks against scheduled work orders

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Forklift license is an asset
  • Proficient computer skills, with the ability to update and maintain inventory records
  • Ability to read and prepare packing slips and labels
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds at a time
  • Detail-oriented with good analytical skills, and ability to work independently when needed
