As a Lead Early Childhood Educator at New Creation Christian Child Care Center, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs aligned with provincial standards and regulations;
  • Supervise and mentor early childhood educators and assistants to ensure high-quality care and education;
  • Lead activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest to promote learning and exploration;
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity;
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits;
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods;
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents and supervisors;
  • Maintain accurate records and submit written observations to senior staff members;
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children;
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers working with children;
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field;
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate;
  • First Aid Certificate;
  • Criminal record check;
  • Medical exam;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
