Job Title: Youth Care Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Care Worker to join our team at Ranch Ehrlo Society. As a Youth Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care, support, and guidance to children, youth, and adults with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to participants, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Develop and implement engaging activity plans to encourage participation and promote social skills.
  • Collaborate with clinical professionals to share insights and contribute to treatment plans and goal setting.
  • Teach essential life skills, such as self-care, cooking, and budgeting, to promote independence.
  • Resolve conflicts with empathy and use behavior management strategies to guide participants through challenges.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation and reports, ensuring all agency standards are met.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required; certificate, diploma, or degree in Child and Youth Care (CYC) or a related field is an asset.
  • At least one year of experience working with children, youth, and/or adults with behavioral, cognitive, mental health, or developmental challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build genuine connections with participants and colleagues.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and model positive behaviors.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to leverage them in daily tasks.
