Business Unit Director - Buildings Engineering

Arcadis is seeking a highly experienced Business Unit Director to lead our Buildings Engineering team in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the business plan for the unit, ensuring alignment with Arcadis' global strategy and financial targets.
  • Lead a diverse team of senior specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure staff are equipped to deliver exceptional results.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering service excellence to drive organic revenue growth.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities, leveraging technical expertise and commercial acumen to drive growth and profitability.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the business unit's clients and market trends, identifying key opportunities and emerging challenges.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a professional services firm.
  • Proven track record of delivering business growth, improving service quality, and driving profitability.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a sound knowledge of the industry and demonstrated entrepreneurial behavior.
  • Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization, particularly with senior stakeholders.
