Family Law Clerk Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Law Clerk to join our team at Linds & Associates. As a Family Law Clerk, you will play a critical role in supporting our lawyers in the preparation and management of family law cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and prepare various court and legal documents, including affidavits, motion materials, minutes of settlement, and continuing records.
  • Prepare and assemble briefs and other materials required for case conferences, hearings, motions, and trials.
  • Draft correspondence to the court, opposing counsel, and external parties.
  • Review and summarize productions received from clients, opposing counsel, and external parties.
  • Prepare financial disclosure briefs and Financial and Net Family Property statements.
  • Assist in the management of uncontested divorce files from inception to completion.
  • Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court trial coordinators, and other external parties as required.
  • Schedule appointments, monitor supervising lawyer calendars, respond to inquiries, and document all interactions.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Law Clerk Diploma and/or a Paralegal License/Diploma.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience as a Family Law Clerk.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Clio, and/or PC Law, Divorcemate, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Proficient in service and filing of court documents and compliance with ongoing Notices of the Profession and filing protocols.
  • Solid understanding of current legal terminology and working knowledge of the civil procedure court rules.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
