Job Title: Executive Chef - Restaurant Operations

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Ontario Inc. in a full-time capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all food products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Culinary Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and other culinary personnel.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement menus that align with the company's vision and brand identity.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food products are prepared and served safely, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Sourcing and Inventory Management: Source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  • Cost Control and Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets to ensure that food costs are controlled and aligned with business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience as a cook or in a related role.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Culinary Arts: Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, cooking methods, and menu planning.
    • Leadership and Teamwork: Excellent leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff.
    • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
