We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Labourer to join our team at Pennwood Dairy Inc. in this permanent position.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including fertilizing and spraying crops, feeding and tending animals, operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment, and milking cows.
Key Responsibilities- Fertilize and spray crops using appropriate equipment and following safety protocols.
- Feed and tend to animals, ensuring their health and well-being.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Milk cows efficiently and safely, adhering to quality control standards.
- Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry, taking prompt action to address any issues.
- Set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops, ensuring optimal conditions for animal care.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience an asset.
The successful candidate will work outdoors in various weather conditions, including wet and cold environments. They will also work with heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
