At Captain Dan's Inc., we are seeking a skilled Fish Processing Machine Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating machinery to process fish and seafood products. Your duties will include cutting, cleaning, and trimming fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing, as well as checking products and packaging for defects and ensuring conformance to company standards.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role and a secondary (high) school graduation certificate. You will be working in a noisy, odorous, hot, cold/refrigerated, and wet/damp environment, and will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel. If you are a team player with excellent oral communication skills and a strong attention to detail, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cut, clean, and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing
  • Check products and packaging for defects and ensure conformance to company standards
  • Operate machinery to can, bag, box, or otherwise package fish and seafood products
  • Set up and operate machines to clean, cut, cook, smoke, brine, dehydrate, or otherwise process fish or seafood products
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a noisy, odorous, hot, cold/refrigerated, and wet/damp environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel
