Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist - Supply Chain Manager to join our team at EPCOR. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the procurement process, ensuring compliance with company policies and trade agreements, and providing subject matter expertise to the Water and Drainage business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Leadership: Lead the entire procurement process, from identifying needs to contract execution and supplier relationship management, in accordance with EPCOR processes and policies.
  • Bid Management: Manage all aspects of competitive bidding processes, including developing bid documents, facilitating negotiations, and awarding contracts.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and trade agreements.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to determine the feasibility of establishing long-term supply contracts for high-usage, high-dollar-volume products.
  • Risk Management: Assess competition and market opportunities/threats, and recommend plans to address.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop recommendations to optimize overall cost, delivery, and quality for assigned procurement portfolios.

Requirements

  • Education: Two-year post-secondary diploma or four-year post-secondary degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years' experience in category-based buying and negotiating contracts or directly related experience within the field.
  • Certifications: Purchasing Designation (SCMP, C.P.M. or C.P.P.O.) considered an asset.
