At The Rock Daycare, we are seeking a skilled Childcare Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting the growth and development of young children.

About the Role

This full-time position involves working in a child care centre setting, providing high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers. As a Childcare Specialist, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our youngest learners.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist co-workers in maintaining a clean and organized environment, including housekeeping and cooking duties
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with sensitivity and care
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the overall development of our children
  • Maintain daycare equipment in good condition
  • Encourage creativity through storytelling, music, art, and physical activity
  • Engage children in activities that promote socialization and learning
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of early childhood development principles and practices
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A Certificate in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or equivalent experience
  • First Aid Certification
