Senior Fire Modeling Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Fire Modeling Consultant to join our team at Ignis Global Recruitment. This exciting opportunity involves conducting egress and fire modeling services for various projects, providing comprehensive reports, and collaborating with project teams, clients, and relevant authorities.
About the Role
- Design and provide egress and fire modeling services for diverse projects, ensuring compliance with local building codes.
- Lead small to mid-sized projects, overseeing project deliverables, schedules, and administration, while maintaining excellent communication skills.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to facilitate project-related communications and deliverables.
- Communicate with clients and approving authorities regarding code compliance strategies and fire performance designs through reports, technical letters, presentations, and opinions.
- Conduct site inspections and attend project meetings to ensure timely completion and satisfaction of clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective fire performance initiatives within the company.
- Provide training on fire modeling/egress modeling to junior staff members.
- Analyze project requirements and prepare proposals, including calculating costs and determining client needs.
- Produce high-quality code reports and other technical documentation based on project demands.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science, preferably in a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in fire and egress modeling projects, with expertise in fire and building codes, and experience in training junior staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant fire modeling software such as Fire Dynamics Simulator and Pathfinder.
- Excellent communication skills and competency in Word and Excel are essential; experience with Bluebeam is advantageous.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $160,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. A bonus package includes performance bonuses and relocation allowance if necessary.
