Supply Chain Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to join our team at Via Logistics Inc. in Canada. This is a permanent, full-time position.
About the RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for managing finances or budget, arranging for shipping documentation and tracking goods in transit, ensuring transport compliance with regulations, and overseeing the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods. You will also plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations.
Responsibilities- Manage finances or budget: Ensure accurate financial management and make informed decisions regarding budget allocation.
- Arrange for shipping documentation and tracking: Coordinate with carriers and ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Ensure transport compliance: Monitor and enforce adherence to all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Oversee scheduling and dispatching: Plan and execute vehicle schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations: Oversee daily logistics activities, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes as needed.
- Education: A College/CEGEP diploma is required.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in a related field is necessary.
- Work Setting: The ideal candidate will have experience working in a trucking company environment.
- Attention to detail: The ability to accurately manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly is essential.
- Fast-paced environment: Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment is required.
